Foundations of Leadership 2
HELM Heads of School and Academic Departments Foundation of Leadership Programme Part Two
Effective operations and people management in the contemporary university:
Aligning strategy to institutional operations and resources
In this time of unprecedented upheaval, Foundations of Leadership Part 2 is designed to provide academic leaders with the tools to respond to this ongoing disruption and complexity. Over two and a half days, this online synchronous programme will focus on aligning an institution’s strategy to day-to-day operations and limited resources. Continuing on from Foundations Part 1, the course is designed to be refreshing, intellectually curious and robustly interactive.
The concrete objectives of this programme for Heads of Schools/Departments are to:
- Develop an informed perspective of the strategic planning and operations resource requirements in universities;
- Promote the development of creative problem solving through expert input, self-reflection and group interaction;
- Acquire new skills that would contribute towards effective, proactive planning at your university; and
- Formally and informally engage with other participants, exchange ideas and share experiences that support personal and institutional development.
Attendance is only online and limited to ensure engaged learning and enhanced space for participation and reflection.
