University Lecturer Development Programme (ULDP)

The ULDP in higher education will contribute meaningfully to the public universities’ talent development strategies, systemic support capacity, planning, and curriculum quality enhancement. In concert with HELM, it will also provide a rich source of data and tapestry of information about the entire higher education cohort’s learning and professional development in South Africa.

The ULDP intends to advance key thematic areas such as:

  1. Teaching and Learning in an online environment;
  2. Academic Development;
  3. Curriculum Development and Assessment for online delivery;
  4. Research and Scholarship;
  5. ICT and Data Analytics;
  6. Educational Leadership;
  7. Academic Entrepreneurship, and
  8. Professional Development.
